After looking at the different majors on the website, International Relations looks like a fantastic major. When I applied I was completely undecided, so is there any "inside" information people can tell me about this major? The course of study looks fantastic but what can you actually do with an International Relations degree? It seems like my first semester will be totally dedicated to requirements anyway, but what should I know going forward?

Know that the IR department is very flexible about credits.

Know that Penn IR graduates have gone to the very best in graduate school, law school, i-banking, consulting and buisness.

I would recommend fulfilling your requirements first and only taking 1-2 IR courses your freshman year. Though it's not important as your cumulative GPA, I know many students whose in-major GPA is ruined because of a few freshman year mistakes.
