<p>I was accepted to Barnard ED and I’m wondering if any current students have thoughts about IR at Barnard. I know there is no specific IR major, but you can major in political science and then specialize in IR right?</p>
<p>Yes. You can also take courses via SIPA. </p>
<p>My d. was a poli sci major with a focus on IR – if you have specific questions you can send me a PM. She has a really cool job post-graduation – she plans to work 2-3 years, then get a masters. (You need a masters or advanced degree to get anywhere in the IR field).</p>
