international relations summer programs...

Are there any good international relations programs?
I know you have to be at least a high school senior to get an internship at the UN.

There are a few, but I can’t remember them off the top of my head … but I think all the deadlines have long passed (before April, etc.).

Yea I know that. Im just thinking about next summer and in general…

Someone please respond!

Maybe you would prefer a summer abroad vs a program in the US? Here is something one of my kids did and loved:

They take a group of maybe 10 students. It is a great scholarship, they cover most of your expenses – I think this kind of program would probably cost about $5,000 if you had to pay, but our total costs were under $1,000 (can’t even remember what for, it has been a few years – some insurance, a phone card, some clothes). But it was a good deal and a great experience.

I think Georgetown has an international relations program as part of their high school summer offerings, but it might be a little costly (a couple thousand dollars, IIRC).

If your high school has a Model UN, it might go to conventions in the Spring…
For summer, most everything is costly, and are hosted by Ivy Leagues, or those expensive academic package tours like P2P.
