Hi, sorry this is going to be a very broad post but im just starting to look into different majors and was thinking about international relations.

Which schools are good for international relations? I'm not a straight A student with stellar scores but I do alright, usually around a 3.5 GPA. Can anyone recommend some schools that might fall into that category?

Also how is the job field for international relations? I'm not entirely sure what I want to specifically study, but i was thinking maybe something involving human trafficking?

Also, are there any other majors that go good with a international relations degree, i was thinking maybe either double majoring in international relations and criminal justice and going to grad school to get my masters in international affairs?

Any information in general about this program would be appreciated!

Thanks!

With all due respect - please search this forum and review all the posts regarding this topic. It has extensively been discussed previously.

After you’ve researched that - please post again i am sure there will be many people willing to repond.

IR and Criminal Justice is an interesting combination.
It’s hard to say where you might be admitted or what you could afford with more info, but here are some to start you out.

John Jay College of Criminal Justice, part of the CUNY system, offers a degree in international criminal justice.[John Jay College Of Criminal Justice | The City University of New York | International Criminal Justice (BA)](<a href=“http://www.jjay.cuny.edu/academics/645.php]John ”>http://www.jjay.cuny.edu/academics/645.php )
You might be interested in the security & intelligence track in the international studies major at Ohio State, and OSU’s sociology dept. offers a track in criminology.Ohio State: [Security & Intelligence | International Studies](<a href=“http://internationalstudies.osu.edu/majors/security_intelligence#90]Security ”>http://internationalstudies.osu.edu/majors/security_intelligence#90 )

The Jackson School of International Studies at U Washington is often overlooked, but it has strong programs. UW also has a major in law, society, & justice.
Indiana U is top notch for its range of international studies and also has a well-regarded criminal justice dept.
U Maryland offers a wide range of international studies and also has the top ranked criminology dept. [Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice](<a href=“http://www.ccjs.umd.edu/graduate/]Department ”>http://www.ccjs.umd.edu/graduate/ )

You might want to look into what’s offered at Canadian or UK universities, too. Canadian Unis are less expensive than US unis. St. Thomas U in New Brunswick, for example, has a fairly broad range of course offerings in IR and in criminology. [St. As another example, London Metropolitan U. offers a joint degree in criminology and international relations.
