International Relations?

I applied to many Ivy League schools, mostly because I was convinced that I'd only get into one, and that my decision would be made for me.

But, as it turns out I was accepted to UPenn's Huntsman Program, Brown, Yale, Princeton, and Harvard and I'm left with a huge decision. I'm wondering if anyone can help me weigh the pros and cons of each, considering I plan to major in IR and pursue diplomacy?

man, first of all: congratulations. you must be great. could you please post or send me your stats and so on? i’d like to see what I have to do to get accepted at the places you where.

Keep in mind that you have to apply to the International Studies at Yale, and that it has to be taken as a second major (i.e., you also have to major in something else).

Sounds like Yale is going to have an awesome international relations program… pro for Yale.

yale’s international studies program looks pretty cool - check that out (i’m considering this for my 2nd major)

congrats! there’s some older threads on the forum about IR and they go into detail about the pros/cons of each so maybe check that out. i’m also planning to apply to hyp next year for IR, and as Raccoon said, would you mind posting or sending me some of your stats? i’d really like to see how you did it  congrats again and thanks!

Does anyone know why you can only take it as a double major? Is that because the major is too small?
