Took SAT I yesterday. Think I did pretty well, but cannot really expect anything until the real score comes out.
Can't wait till the score comes out man.

Took Math IIC, Physics, and Chemistry.

I don't like the whole having to focus intensely aspect of testing in general, especially tests where time is ridiculously precious and literally every second counts. Having said that, I'm feeling vaguely optimistic about my scores.

that's what ETS is doing. think about it; 24 questions in 25 minutes including two 800-word passages.

and although the deadline has passed, we usually register as stand-bys. so when oct 24 score comes out, and i don't like it, i'll register as a standby for the november one. our testing center is big enough.

i especially hate those big bubbles, it takes so long for me to fill a single bubble! and i always make sure it's done perfectly so i double check!! overall, i lose a lot of precious time doin this...

they should have those tiny rectangular boxes like they have for MCQs in A-level exams..

I HATE those "bubbles"! I had just finished sharpening my pencils when it came out in my mind than one of them had to be unsharpened so that I could fill in the ovals faster! I liked coloring children's books when I was in kindergarten but 12 years later it's getting on my nerves!

laugh Nice remark, :)))! I used to love coloring, too. I would buy books of Sweet Valley Kids with the little pictures and obsessively color in Jessica and Elizabeth and ignore their friends. :P

i've been scratching/coloring/shading/scribbling bubbles all my life, so i don't see that as a problem. :) altho i agree the bubbles are a tad bit bigger.

Bubble are annoying, though. I'm GLAD for the IB multiple choice for Science it's no more bubbles! NO MORE! Just little crosses.

But I accidentally filled in the bubble for a question I skipped so I had to go back and erase and redo. :( wails

yeah...those big bubbles....I didn't get to finish the last 2 q from the Physics test :(....
but anyway...I'm vaguely optimistic too....I mean.....I guess an 800 for Math 2, hope for a 780 on French, and pray for a 750+ at Physics!!!!!!!! (ok... a 740 won't be bad either...I guess.... )
retaking my sat in nov..... I don't find neither math or writing that hard(well except for the essay), but I think CR is really awful!.... but then again we each have our weak and strong points.

haha Im gonna take Maths IIC, Phys and Chem in November...... I've gotta cram 1 year of pre-college studies into one month :/ wish me luck. I hope to score a 800 for Maths 700+ for phys and Chem..... Wouldnt ahve much problem with phys and maths, but chem.. OMG.. LOL

About the new SAT, i'll be taking mine in December. I took the old sats last year though.. maths is still easy as usual... I kinda died in CR part.. LOL, I dont have a thing for vocabs, thus, I sucked in that field.

God, I like the International Students Forum.

I didn't know where to put this sentence and since we were supposed to ramble on here till we learn our scores, I put it here :)

cool we all like this place, dont we.............

I love it, too!!

The woes of being an international kid wanting to study in the US...the financial aid...trying to decide on which uni to apply to and which offer to ACCEPT without once having visited the campus...the wonder of whether or not we'll experience culture shock even if we're in int'l schools or have American friends or whatnot...

BIG group hug
