<p>Martine, from my school only a few ppl took the SAT I, only my best friend and I took the SAT II. From what I know, a guy scored 2100 and another girl took it but I don't know her scores. My best friend is in my situation.</p>
<p>banedon, you have really good ECs and GREAT essays! I think you do have a decent chance at Yale and why not apply to Princeton? I think brilliant people should try their luck everywhere. Yeah, my daddy also mentioned applying to as many schools as I can but I don't listen to him:D I will have so many essays to write...</p>

<p>but I'm not sure what I should write about. I mean last night I've had some really crazy ideas. but the essays would mainly speak about dunno how to put it.... some of my ideas, rather than me as a person....dunno... one of the ideas was to write about the fact that man lives in uncertainty(rather philosophical :p )...another idea was to start from brown as a colour...then to think about what things are brown...like the land...then to say what land meas(life, support-as in ground,freedon) and to make a link between what all these mean to me and Brown univ.

<p>Well, i guess it depends. If I were you, I wouldn't. In my opinion, it might just add flab to your app, which adcoms may not like. But then again, I'm no adcom so my opinion cant count as much :p</p>

<p>sat I: cr 800, m 720 wr 680 (stupid, stupid essay subject....)
sat II: latin 770 Bio m and Math 2 taken in nov, and praying for >700</p>

<p>how to prepare: buy the blue book and do all the test and memorize the words you didn't know, read hundreds of english books (ok if you're not a reading fan as I am, as many as you can) and if you come across a difficult word memorize it (I didn't do that, but I suppose it would raise your vocabulary) And hope you get lucky, some tests are just a better "fit" for you then others.... </p>

<p>scores look pretty good(ok, ok, very good) so from this point of view you have a very good chance. but you have to take into consideration the fact that sats mean so little of your application! ... anyway.... no doubt you'll do just fine :)
