Maine? Because i love maine weather! cold and snowy AND nice rocky places! also there is a chance that my boyfriend might do ED II to Bowdoin if ED I doesn't work out :D

Maine isn't that bad! Got a pal from there; she's doing fine. (Oh, we just ate a huge Thanksgiving lunch at school!) Wesleyan's curriculum and small faculty:student ratio, I think, is one of the reasons it's called a liberal arts college...

IHS...are you a male?

do u love maine farms and main cows?

Hamilton is known to give faked degrees
[/quote]

ooh, explain that. intrigued

Connecticut College's the other one (besides Cornell College) that has a One-Course-At-A-Time schedule, right?

yup!....(those kind of questions are so embarassing)

nothing wrong with cows and farms - williamstown has a lot of cows, even their mascot is a cow :D cows are cute, i think. very peaceful animals. nice big eyes. lazy as well :D

I saw it on abc's 60 minutes!

hehe.............

FAKE degrees? but what does that mean? as far as i know, hamilton's pretty highly ranked so that would be sad. but if you have good reasons to think hamilton should be out of the list, i'll keep it out coz i haven't grown attached to it yet.

Cow's eyes scare me... they're so...big...and liquid-like, somehow...

I've noticed that women's colleges somehow don't attract males applicants... Hmmm...peculiar.. ;)

But what would someone who's currently undergoing a male-to-female operation put on their application for "gender"?

good 4 u a 10 for crossing out every college...horrqay...go kee...go east go west kee is da best!!:D

hehe, only The Izzy comes up with questions like that. (I, by the power bestowed upon me by CC's junior membership now christen Izzy J as The Izzy). my bf who's applying ED I to williams is also scared of cows. i don't know about connecticut's curriculum much - except that two guys from my school got in but decided to go somewhere else.

laughs thanks IHS :D

deference: about the Toefl, I would definitly take it! Dutch people are usually very good at it, I took it, and 2 of my friends as well, and we all got with very high scores. The reading and listening section are both way easier than our SE/CE exams. Also, you can order a practice book at the fulbright center in Amsterdam. It is much easier that the sat cr, but also much more expensive :S but it will look good on your application, especially with low cr scores. Good luck!

Toefl scores arent necesary anywhere ..
at most places which demand toefl .. not submitting the scores wont hurt your application ....

If u have both sat1 CR and writing above or equal to 600 , they wouldnt caree abt toefl scores..

This is what a dartmouth adcomm had to say about the test :::

"""
The TOEFL is not required, however is recommended as students often found it is the best way to demonstrate their English abilities. All admissions officers must feel confident in applicants' English skills before accepting them.** If you feel that the rest of your application adequately demonstrates your English skills, then you may choose to not include the TOEFL. **'''

Also after consulting other places it is clear that they dont give a damn to these scores even if not sent. The application is considered without it..

And if all other scores are fine and only problem lies with the Cr and writing section of Sat1 ...dont worry coz the trend has begun to change and a 600 + score on both ++ high other scores in other areas ++ gud application is also accepted ..

also when the adcomms said other parts of application they had excluded sat1 scores coz i had specifically asked them that if i have 600-650 sat1 writing and Cr score but other parts demonstrate by english abilities well... do i have to give toefl..

We though must in a self signed letter stating that education in english medium school for over 5-6 yrs atleast has been done and also the other stuff that might help prove those abilities...like Journalism and stuff......

SM

Izzy, I dissected a cow's eye once! (for physics class.. concave and convex lenses lol)

It was quite entertaining. Oh there was this really funny part when my friend poked this group's cow's eye, (the group - korean 'omg gross cows eye ick! scream scream scream girls) and this liquid thing squirted onto 2 of the girls' faces and they started crying because one of them recieved some liquid in her mouth. hahahhahaahahhahahahhaha yeah.. you had to be there...

"uggh, NoFX... too much detail!!!" scream scream scream :P haha, that IS funny.

we had this crazy biology teacher back in seventh grade and she brought this cow's eye to for our lab class - i think the lens or something - transparent ball like thing. most of us were pretty disgusted and then she goes like,

"touch it."
"no."
"touch it"
"no!"
"touch it or i won't give you any marks for your mid terms"

crazy woman. she'd always tell us that when she was young she was beautiful and all the boys liked her.

i sometimes don't understand boys.

LOL kee...she must have been as repulsive as the cow's eye. Just saying that to boost her self esteem i bet ;)

the only time i dissected something was a fish in 5th grade :p I'm still so proud that i was the only person who did not mutilate the fish to get the ball-like lens out of its eye :D
