International SAT I and II results!

I go to school in the afternoon because my school's too big and we can't all go at the same time. So, I'll go back home at about 8 pm and then I'll see my scores. That's like 5 hours later :(

yes.the time difference is horrible ...it is 8pm here in mid asia.when in Us it is abt 6Am... so results are out at abt 10pm in night....

We could build a residential hall on top of the Everest. We won't need policemen and it'll still be safe because nobody would climb that huge thing in order to steal some student's bicycle.

u couldn't stay a few minutes up there... let alone for 4 years!!!!

LOL I was joking :)

i fell SICK during my subject tests!!! GRRRR!!! Almost cancelled the tests but decided against it bcoz my lit was pretty good... Math 1C ok.... but i was almost dying from pain by the time Math 2C test came up... i'm applying ED1 to a selective LAC... it requires two SAT IIs, which is a good thing... i want them to consider my Lit and Math1C scores. however, isnt it true that they see all the scores?? wut if my low Math 2C score turns them off? :(

do u guys think i should attach a note saying i fell sick and explaining what i've written above (fell sick/almost cancelled/but wanted to keep good scores) when i send my application?? or will they think i'm making up excuses?

i know...
but i couldn't resist! climbin to base camp was tough enough! :o

Depends how sick you are. And perhaps it's better to get someone else write about how sick you were at the test-center. Was the test administered at your school so you know the supervisors personally? Perhaps if you do, they could write it for you? But I think, barring a vomiting experience or fainting, adults tend to think "Tough luck". :(

About MathIIC score, it might depend if you're going for a science major or not. But I'm sure adcoms see a whole range of SAT II scores so they would understand.

But think how much fit we would be if we did have our residences up on Mt. Everest!

hehe... yea.

with the lack of oxygen we'd be one of the most brilliant kids i guess.

but dreaming would be fun! [u guyz know abt dreams and altitude right?]

hey, in june I was out when the results were put on the CB website, but when I came home at about 1:30 pm(meaning before 3 pm) they were in. so I don't think they fully respect that 8 am stuff.

Nope... test was held at this pretty miserable center.... the supervisors were nice but i don't know them... i told the guy i'm too sick to continue and he said i would have to cancel my entire test (all 3) or i'll just have to go on... and i preferred going on...

not vomitting/fainting sick... more like 'someone's-drilling-holes-into-the-walls-of-my-stomach-sick"...

thinking about english and international studies majors... no sciences, though i do have bio and chem for my high school curriculum...

tough luck for me, i guess :(... and i'm not too sure how a note would look to the adcoms... don't want them to think i'm whiny and making excuses...

hi aaron56... what about dreams and altitude??

hi kee10

well... at really high altitudes you can at times have strange and colorful dreams.. very enjoyable actually .. hehe

kee10: Oh, I think I read a post by you about how sick you were in on that Saturday! Condolences. I'm sure they would look at the two highest SAT II scores.

I think Lit and Math IC would be more important, then.

And yes, aaron56, what about dreams and altitude!

Lakshmi: Lucky you! I had to wait until after school had ended until I could find my scores! Lucky those living in the US or in the same time zone (Canada and Mexico)...

Certain normal bodily changes happen in most people who travel to high altitude. These include:

Breathlessness during movement
Hyperventilation (breathing fast)
Increase in urination
Awakening during the night
Strange dreams

[/copy n paste frm some website]

Hmmm..increase in urination...strange dreams...awakening during the night. Seems like the residences would be a busy place! We'll have to make sure we make a lot of bathrooms!

very unrealistic but if it were possible, it'd be realllly cool!

u'd be lookin down on the world frm there!

t minus 9
(the countdown for days remaining till october SAT results)

only 8 days!!! man how fast do days pass?

only if you count them they become fast. trY eating chocloate sundae.
