International Scholarships?

I'm a Canadian student and although I'll most likely be attending UofT or McGill after high school graduation, I have always desperately wanted to attend a top-tier American school. I have full intentions of completing graduate/professional school in the States, as the lack of financial aid is the sole reason I'll be in Canada for undergraduate.

Although I know that federal regulations prevent international students from getting any financial assistance and scholarships are far and few in between, I have heard of a student who only scored 2100 on the SATs and received one full scholarship and another around $50,000 to a top schools.

Have you or anyone you know earned a hefty international scholarship? Just trying to fathom whether they're myth or just very rare. Thanks!

It’s rare.
