Hi everyone-- I'm hoping you might be able to help me out.
I go to an international school, and very few students apply to American colleges. For this reason, my school has NO idea about the Common App/the college app process....
Neither do I really...so it's a bit of a problem. My school doesn't have any sort of "counsellor" so that's problem number one.
Next...
If, on the common app, under "school forms" I send the request to a teacher, will they be expected to make a Common App account themselves?
How do I send their recommendations to more than one school?
Lastly, how do transcripts work? Can they easily be sent to more than one school? I.e. do I have to go back and ask my school to re-send I've finalized my list of colleges to which I'm applying?
Thanks so much!

Thank you so much – sorry for the long-winded question!

Answers to only part(s) of my question are also very much appreciated!!

For your recommendations on common app, whoever is doing has to do it online. So all what u need is their email and assign them the recommendation. For transcripts, ur skool should be able to send them to multiple schools. Just speak with ur principal or something. Umm im an international student but in an american school so i can only answer that much

Does your school have an “advisor”? Cuz i know some skools dont have counselors but general advisors…

Usually universities allow students to ask another school official like a principal or adviser in the case that they do not have a counselor.

The common app makes an account for them they get an email about this sent to them…

You have to add the school in the my colleges tab and then assign the teacher that you want for that university under school forms.

Once your counselor/adviser/ principal (whoever is filling out your school forms) submits it all you have to do is assign them to the school, they are not required to submit a recommendation to all the schools.
