Chicago is need aware for internationals. But if you are admitted, they will meet full needs without debt. That is a new policy this year.

update: just got accepted to NYU Shanghai

Congratulation!

Thanks. The deadline to reply is January 9, and I am still waiting from Bard, Colorado, and Uchicago.

Does NYU Shanghai offer good aid?

the aid is great.

Wow, congratulations! And you’ll have time to compare offers.
But for now: YOU ARE GOING TO COLLEGE!!!

Yeah, that’s the good news, finally, I am going to college.

No matter what else happens, you know you’re going to college.
And hopefully you’ll have more choices soon :)

thanks.

My Bard application is moved to RD pool due to FA Application for International Students.

My friend goes to Midd and I go to Reed (FWIW, I am more satisfied with my aid package than him). We have established that I would hate Midd and he would hate Reed. OP can’t apply ED2 to Reed (intls not allowed) but OP could potentially get in RD. You will have to write really good essays to get into these schools as an aid seeking intl. Don’t expect to coast on your academic and extracurricular strengths.

congratulations on NYU shanghai! CC is kind of obsessed with UWC students so don’t worry if it doesn’t work out. Chicago tends to defer aidseeking intls who apply EA. I applied to the same set of schools last year, except for NYU and Yale nus. You are more qualified than I was.

So I got deferred from UChicago as expected

Happy update: admitted to Colorado College

WOW AWESOME!!!
Colorado College is a TERRIFIC school!!!
And don’t they meet need for internationals?

I know!!
I did apply for FA, am waiting for the package to arrive on 22. My friend got in Colorado last year with full ride, so I hope the FA won’t be disappointing.

THAT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME!!

IT"S IMPRESSIVE particularly because CC has relatively more limited funds for international students!

Congratulations! I told you you were a better applicant than I was :)

This will allow you to reduce the number of schools you apply to RD, and will reduce the stress by SO MUCH gosh. I was panicking at this point last year. I’m glad that you don’t have to.

Thank you guys. I am glad that I WILL GO TO COLLEGE next year. surely still preparing and applying for RD

@aliefmoulana are you waiting for other schools’ result now?
