Are there any statistics on the standardized test scores for admitted/matriculating internationals? Does the international applicant pool have a higher SAT score? I've only seen statistics on admission rates so far.

In the dark ages, when I worked in admissions at Penn, internationals were looked at differently than domestics. Simply, they needed to be outstanding in the context of their country. If English was not their first language they didn't need to have a super high verbal SAT. But they needed to have major academic success and be a truly top student in their native country, not just their high school.

Ah, thank you for your timely response. I was asking out of curiosity, and because I believe my low (by Ivy standards) test scores might pose the largest threat to my application.

i know the person from singapore who got admitted Ed this year got 2350/2380..

Yea...I'm just going to put this out there, but the internationals at Dartmouth seem SO much more diverse and talented than a lot of the students who are just strictly from the United States (which speaks a lot about my opinion on AA). But generalizations aside , int'l students probably have to have some pretty darn good stats.

^I have not seen a noticeable difference.

A difference only concerning stats? And also are my stats compared to the general SAT taking populace or to the SAT takers from my country, when making admission decisions?

No, you will be compared to others from your country who have applied to this school.

I think there are certain score cut off score for Verbal in some Ivies
HYP is 500, Dartmouth/Cornell 400... which is a kinda easy for internationals
I got this conclusion from the common data set

LOL that's me! are you from singapore, too?
