Hey everyone, I was recently accepted to the college of my dream, but I have issues with my financial aid..

I'm on an E-2 Visa (residency allowed because of a business in US--my dad), but most of the scholarships require the applicant to be either US citizen, permanent resident, legal resident, or a national.

I know I'm not a US citizen or a permanent resident. Does anyone know what status I would be for the scholarships?

And do you know any scholarships/grant programs that include international students?

Are you looking for outside scholarships? If so, there aren’t any that you could get that would make any serious dent in the costs for a dream school. Not only are outside scholarships smallish, and usually for citizens/residents, they are often for one year only, which means you would have no scholarships for your soph, jr, and senior years. Outside scholarships are usually for small amounts that only cover books.

When you applied to the school, did you fill out the FA paperwork? What does your college offer for aid?

How much can your parents pay each year for your education?

Where else have you applied? Have you applied to any affordable schools?
