Hello.
I’m seeking to get a scholarship in Harvard.
And Harvard says you need a SAT score.
But do I have any other chance to get Harvard without SAT score.
If I would get a +100 score on TOEFL, will I can get into Harvard?
Thank you…

Hey guys, I’m a UK citizen looking at UPenn and JHU for premed (and medical) programmes. Could someone please help me with what sort of contingency funding these universities offer whether it be merit or needs based please?

I’ve tried searching myself but I can’t find anything in particular.

Occam–are you planning on attending medical school in the US? If so, please consider that it’s extremely difficult for international students to be accepted in a US medical school. Most US medical schools will not consider international students for admission and of those that do only approx 5 offer any financial aid to internationals.

UPenn only offers need-based aid. There do not give merit awards. Need will be determined by the school based upon your family’s finances. Penn will determine how much it thinks your family can afford. Penn is also need-aware for international students. That means the fact that you need FA (and how much) will be considered when the school is deciding to accept you. If Penn cannot or will not fund you won’t be accepted.

JHU offers both need and merit aid, but both are limited for international students. JHU is need-aware for international students. (See above) International students who need merit aid to fund their education at JHU cannot apply for early decision.

You can apply ED, but merit awards will not be announced until the end of March. Thus you won’t know exactly how much aid you’ve been awarded until well after the deadline for declining your ED acceptance.
