Can anyone tell me does Embry Riddle offer Financial aid to freshmens and how much

Hey guys!
Okay so here is my problem...
I have beein in USA for 4 years now, my family and me were granted "Witholding of removal" in september 2007. I have been working since September but my dad and sister have been before that. WE all drive, we paid our income taxes for 2007.
I got out-of state tuition, no financial aid. I have to pay 20,000+ for GMU just by living at home!! Even if I go to NOVA i need to take out a loan and I would need a co-signer to sign! I really dont know what to do, I have applied for a few scholarships but didnt get any becuase of the residency isssue!! I really need help.
Is there schools anywhere that would give me financial aid and its not too late to apply?
Any resources for scholarships regardless of immigration status? I have looked at MALDEF already..alot of them are for Hispanicstudents only or they have expired.
I plan to have two jobs over the summer to pitch in whatever possibble!
I am researching other colleges that offer international aid but alot of them are really hard to get in! I have a 3.68 with 6 AP classes and alot of extracirricular but its still hard to get in! If someone coyuld help me out!!

Hi, Im an international student from India, and looking forward to studying in the US if I get financial aid. Can anyone tell me what my chances are with an 8.5 IELTS, 2220 SAT I (770 Writing, 720 CR, 730 Maths) and 760 in Physics and MATH II each in SAT II? I have also written 2 books, of which one is currently being assessed by some publishers and agents, have won national awards in music, and scored a 95% Indian School Certificate exams. Can I apply to the IV leagues and hope to get aid?

Hi, I just got provisionally accepted to a college in the US with a $10K per year scholarship.

I'm aware that the embassy or the college won't issue a Visa if I do not have the sufficient funds in my account. Can anyone recommend an int'l student loan that doesn't require a US citizen as a co-signer?

TIA

Please be aware that the Cooper Union is very generous towards international students. It's incoming class consists of around 25 aided international students, which is a big chunk of its entering class of a little over 200.

hi every one, is there any full financing for master or phd in ECS ?
specially in MIT, or stanford

hi
i'm an international student as well but I'm also a domestic international student.
I've heard from my friends and also from a website source(I think from harvard themselves) that all internationals qualifying for aid(whose family earns less than 60k a year) could potentially get a full scholarship if they are accepted. I just want to verify if this is actually true. I've also heard that some other ivies also extend grants like this to internationals, but can anyone verify this? Thank you for your time.

asiya luv, so you mean your a permanant resident?
Aide should be avaliable to you then--
if not where does your citizenship lie?

I'm an Australian student applying to study in 2009. Im in the top 10% of my class (valedictorian of 2 of my 5 subjects, in a grade of 200), and am yet to sit the ACT's (with writting) and SATII's (US history, literature and math II), in October.

Im applying to:

Princeton
Brown
Barnard
Smith
Columbia
U Penn or Dartmouth

Are these good schools, particually Smith, as I'm planning to apply there on ED, with financial aid. (if it wasent Smith it would be Barnard, and they're stingy)

Im hoping I will get a good aid package. My parents are divorced, and Im a first generation college student. I live with my mum and her partner, and they earn $60,000 between them. Im a middle child, with two younger siblings, we dont own a house, or have any stock etc.
in fact, the only assets we have are a car and business (both not worth much). my older brother is also diasabled, and I dont see my dad.

Do you think it's likley I'lle get any aid?

Hey, guys! Anyone knows something about financial aid policy from Wharton School? I heard no one could get financial aid from Wharton School. Is that true? Thank you!

is dartmouth need blind?

There's an article here which outlines all aspects of international financial aid for study in the US - grants, loans, scholarships, etc.... with some useful links to organisations offering such help.

(I'm guessing noone has rated it rather than it being on 0!)

Apologies... I seem to have pasted something odd at the end of that last link. Try this one instead!

Hey all! I am an international student applying for admission in 2009 and there is something I can't seem to find out anywhere regarding financial aid. Every school seems to divide the expected contribution per number of siblings in college, but does it apply only to siblings that study in the United States?

My sister is also applying to college next fall (she is a rising senior and I am taking a gap year), but in our home country to a state school that charges no tuition, so she will only need money for living and personal expenses. Do colleges still divide the expected contribution by 2 or do they just subtract the lesser amount of money needed for my sister?

Hey everyone!

I am an international senior student (South African citizen that holds a Canadian permanent residency). My SAT1 scores are : 700CR, 640M,and 600W. And I haven't written SAT2 yet. I am very involved in community work and have international links with NGOs. I'm class valedictorian and have held a bunch of other leadership positions during my school years and have good teacher references.

I've been trying to find colleges mainly in the north eastern states -particularly PA and NY. However my main issue is aid. Due to the unfriendly South African/$ exchange rate my parents can afford to spend about $3000 a year on college! I'm not quite sure how to tackle this issue as the "high-end" universities seem to have the best aid policies, making "safeties" quite hard to find. I'm concerned that this huge financial need will impact admission decisions as very few schools are need-blind. Any suggestions on either good safety and target schools? Can a use my Canadian permanent residency to any advantage?

Thanks for any comments:)

I was just wondering, could I apply for many colleges Early Decision? Normally when do I get to know how much aid I get?

HI, I'm Mai Anh from Vietnam. I intend to apply ED1 in grinnell college but my family can only contributes less than $10k per year. Many people tell me not to apply ED1 if I want to receive a huge financial aid package. I really love Grinnell and want to show my commitment to the Admission Office. Please advise me.
Thank you very much

hey thanks for the list ,keep it up :)

@ mtimaxi: email the admissions office and ask if international students applying for financial aid can ED their school. Some schools, like carleton, apparently don't allow this. Then ask if they are committed to meeting full need of accepted ED applicants. They are the most reliable source for you to based on and make a decision. Best wishes.

i have heard that Grinnell has cancelled ed 1 from fall 2009 check it out

hi,
I plan on applying ED to hopkins...
however i would be needing some kind of financial aid...
do you guys have any idea if hopkins is need blind?do they look at your financial status while admitting you?
or do they admit you even if you cant pay and then wait for your respnse?
the JHU website says they offer a scholarship of about $25,000 a year but how many international students get that?
thanks a ton...
