<p>I am an international student applying to US colleges next fall. I am currently in Y12 at a private all girls school in Sydney, Australia. I am a chinese citizen but have gone to a very prestigious international school in Beijing (china) since year 6. I moved to Sydney 2 years ago and have continued with the Australian ATAR system (your ranking in your state according to the difficulty level of you subjects).</p>

- Assistant and blogger for a home accessory/ interior design company for 2 weeks (10)
- Summer Camp teacher at a very prestigious company in Beijing (9-12) *i went to this summer camp almost every holiday until i grew out of it and they asked me if i wanted to help out. i said yes on the spot. since year 10/11 I have been writing english courses for its english camps</p>
<p>Volunteer/Community service:
- traveled to one of the poorest villages in Henan, china to teach english to severely disadvantaged children for 2 weeks. i am bilingual, (fluent in both chinese and english) unfortunately, i did not get the opportunity to go back for various reasons but i still keep in contact with the kids. :(
- vouched to install a reverse vending machine in my school (a vending machine that takes in empty bottles and cans in return for coins candy and jokes) *it was very expensive, but everybody in my school donated!
- I visit an old man at an aged care village. He is a beautiful person, at the age of 94. He tells the most amazing stories. I really enjoy going and I know that he really appreciates my company.</p>
<p>Summer Activities:
- attended a university course on philosophy (mind and morality) at Sydney University. It was amazing. It really put things into perspective and helped me to consider more things while making decisions
- travelling with my family!! we go back and forth between China and Australia mostly</p>
<p>Essays: I loved it. It was on the way i think, how i connect the dots to form relationships between concepts. VERY ME!</p>

. Rec 1 teacher: Modern History: I love history and she loves me. (MUTUAL lOVE <3)
. Rec 2 teacher: English Extension teacher: we had to overcome our animosities, but i ended up liking her
