International Student Applying For BioMedical Engineering

What is wrong with Mormons?

For an international student ( or an American) with limited resources looking for a good quality education, BYU offers a top notch education without breaking the bank. OP go to BYU’s website and take a look at the credentials of the faculty and the number of classes that are offered. If you are looking to go to graduate schol, BYU wil prepare you well.

If you have any questions about BYU you can ask me.

Nothing is wrong with Mormon faith. OP needs to be aware of each college environment since he is not aware that there are differences in all of the colleges.

BYU is not that low cost for a non-mormon. And it would not provide any aid to an int’l.

The OP can only pay 7-10k per year…that is not nearly enough for BYU.

I am just giving him one more school for him to explore.

It is still far cheaper than almost all 4 year universities for international students.

Not need based financial aid, but all international students can apply for up to full tuition scholarship (at the LDS price) after completing 12 credit hours. Very few schools offer need based financial aid to international students.

Tuition(ridiculously low)

A 3.9 in college is incredibly difficult to achieve but it is a good scholarship to know about, equivalent to half tuition for a non LDS student. So, for some students, it’d make things possible - but that’s still half tuition + room, board, and books so it really depends on the type of university applicants are aiming for.
However, it’d really depend on the person as to choosing BYU, just like for any religious school not of one’s faith. An atheist may find BYU difficult, for instance.
