I am studying in Singapore and am trying to apply to GATECH for early action.
I currently got 1940 for SAT (maths:770, cr: 590, writing: 580)
I am about to take SAT II for Maths level 2, Physics and Chemistry. I am very sure that each of my SAT II scores will be higher than 700.
I have loads of extracurricular activities and have done numerous community involvement activities.
Is there a good possibility of me getting accepted to GATECH?

That SAT score might pull you down a bit. Try the ACT if you like… Compare the two. Other than that your stats seem fine. Also add your GPA, rank and AP courses…?

These scores are a little bit weak for GA Tech. You may want to retake to improve it, particularly for the CR.

Basically I am 80 percentile in my school. ( The actual rank is not disclosed by my school).
Not only that Singapore follows Singapore-Cambridge A levels. It is said to be harder than the actual Cambridge A levels. There is no GPA for that. I got ABAB for Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Economics respectively for my end of year examination in year 1 last year. If I am not wrong, my Maths, Physics and Chemistry syllabus are the same as AP. I actually only heard of AP courses few months ago. Does not having a GPA and not attending any AP courses affect my placement in colleges like GT?

So how? I dont really have a chance?

No it does not. However, the Bs in your A-levels may hurt you a little. When you said you’re in the 80 percentile did you mean you’re in the TOP 80 percentile or you are at the 80th percentile? The second would be much better.

I am 80th percentile in my school. Anyways is 1940 for sat a mediocre score?

It’s not mediocre but in the context of Georgia Tech, it’s a little below the average there.

So what is considered to be a competitive SAT score?

Bro I have added my rank, AP, and GPA as u asked. Now can u chance me?

You may think of retaking the SAT.Try to improve in the CR and writing sections.Even I don’t have a GPA.We are given Percentages in our school. But,I am 15th in a class of 120 students. Is that too low?

I think it depends. How did u fair for SAT?
