Hello everyone, I was directed here from **************.co.uk, as I was asking about applying to a US university. Starting this year I'll be in year 12 - 11th grade, and I have to think about which unis I want to go to. I've had my heart set on several US universities, wanting to enrol in a finance/math degree. I was just wondering if there was anyone else who was from the British system and came to Penn or any other US uni, and could help me understand what the process to go would be.

I think I'm a pretty able student, My GCSE results were good (government exams at 16), where I got all A*s. I've looked at some SAT books, especially the princeton review edition, looking at how to do the SAT, and thought the questions weren't too hard. I guess my question is what kind of grades does an IVY league school want, and what SAT score would I need to get into these schools.

For anyone who was in my situation, did you have to do A levels/what A levels did you need to do. I heard for US unis, the courses are a lot different than in the UK and you get a variety of different subjects. Does Wharton give you a conditional offer?

Thanks all :D
