International student - Audition, communication and numbers

Hello everyone,

I’m from Brazil and I plan on attending Pace next year. To be honest, I haven’t really made up my mind, but I have other possibilities I still need to spend more time on. I am going to take the SAT next sat (June 1st) and looking at the numbers from any of the schools that have caught my attention, they all look unaffordable. Reading a bit here, apparently the 50K figure looks out of most people’s budget. Yes, I’d like to study in NYC or close enough to visit Broadway without having a hole in my wallet.

Are there any international students attending a BFA program in MT?
I tried contacting three univ., but so far, Pace only answered one of my emails with a “copy-paste” from their website.
As for scholarships and financial aid… Since I am not a genius of any kind, let alone a promising athlete, what are the realistic chances? I expect to get somewhere around 1800-2000 on the SAT (based on my prep), but you never know… and with those stats, I know full rides/tuition, especially for MT, are not a possibility.

Thanks for taking the time to read! (:

My daughter was accepted to Pace academically but not to the BFA musical theatre program. She had an 1800 SAT with a 3.7 GPA and was offered a $19,000 merit scholarship to Pace.

Congrats! What program did she get in?

While 20k is a lot of money and a HUGE help, there’s still another 20K gap to fill (in my case). I’ve read mixed reviews about Pace when it comes to being generous as far as scholarships/grants are concerned.
