will be applying for business.

any response wil be highly valued!!.. desperate to be a longhorn!.. lol..

You are probably gonna get in to UT but the business school is really tough for OOS/internationals.

so how does it work... i mean i apply to business school and if i dont make it there am i automatically considered for the college?

rizkid-

I think it works like this... If you are admitted to UT, but not McCombs, they will place you in your second choice college or in the College of Liberal Arts. Plan II Honors is a major within the College of Liberal Arts. It is also highly selective and very prestigious. You might consider indicating it as a second choice. If you end up in Liberal Arts, it is worth trying for Plan II, because it will allow you to create a customize learning plan that can include business.

Of course, that is not to say you won't get in McCombs. :-) Policy only allows for 80% of any UT College spots to be filled with auto-admits, so the remaining 20% is evaluated holistically... and you have very interesting ECs which will help greatly. If you have not submitted your essays yet, try to get them polished up. They will be very important. If you do apply for any honors programs (including Plan II Honors), the deadline for the separate honors application is Feb 1 and you will have to write a couple more essays.

Best of luck!

Actually for the school of business it's only 75%

Even better! :-)
