International Student Cornell Chance

Hey guys/girls,
I am an international student, currently living in Nepal. I have a 1490 SAT (800M+690ER) and 1600 SAT2 (Physics and Math 2). I have excellent academic grades, with 2A* 2A and b (English language) in A-levels (don’t know the GPA). I believe my ECs stand out:

  • I have tutored 2 students (junkies) in a rehab for 4 months. I lived in the rehab for a month because one of them relapsed.
  • I wrote a grant application, worth $1 million as an intern for a solar company. The person I worked for is a Forbes 30U30.
  • I traveled for 3-4 months straight to the most affected areas from the Civil war and earthquake.
  • Good recommendations, surely.

What are my chances?
I know a Phd. alumni of cornell who is quite renowned in his field. Should I mention him in my supplements and should I try to get a recommendation from him? And should I get a recommendation from the F30U30 entrepreneur?

Would love to hear more on F30U30.
If all you said makes sense, I think you’re an ivy material.

Cornell is need-aware for internationals. That means that you will probably have a much harder chance getting excepted if you can’t afford to pay a good part of your education.
The only schools in the US that are need blind for internationals are MIT, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, and Amherst.
