Hi, everyone!

I am an international applicant to Hotchkiss, Choate, and Andover. I am aware that Hotchkiss and Choate post their decisions online, but I don't know how Andover delivers the news. I received an email yesterday from Hotchkiss regarding my online username and password for decisions. The email also indicated that I will receive regular mail as well.

I've read on this site that accepted students are sent FedEx (express mail) packages. Does this policy apply to international students?

I thank you all in advance for your response(s)! :-)

I want to know too!

Hello! Are you an international student as well?

A couple of years back as an int’l applicant, DS was able to access his decision results online for the schools that send snail-mail decisions. He also received a hardcopy letter in the mail a while afterward.

He did not, however, receive the merchandise “goodies” (i.e. T-shirts, M&M’s, etc). I suppose it’s because mailing stuff overseas is expensive, and the items are subject to customs duties & import tariffs.

@GMTplus7 Thanks for the information! If you don’t mind me asking, what country are you from and where did your DS get accepted at?

@GMTplus7: Looking at your CC name, I would guess he’s from Vietnam or Thailand or Indonesia. Sorry since I’m new, what does DS stand for? … Son?

@hamburger10 I guessed so too, but I’m not sure which country. We’re in the same time zone after all! DS stands for ‘dear son’.

Thanks pingu21198. Yes! And how do you know I’m in this time zone pingu21198 Just curious!:)

@hamburger110 I meant to say that I’m in the same time zone @GMTplus7 was in. :-)

And now you know I’m also in the same :)
