International Student : filling the forms HELP!!

Hello, I am an international student who is schooling in Ghana.
Because I am in Ghana, I am filling "International Financial aid Form" instead of CSS Profile.
There is a question asking "Write the names of colleges or Universities which you are applying to" and they give six spaces. I am really confused why they even required it?

So, is it like I have to write the school I am sending it to? or other schools that I am applying to?

Please help me! I have to send it by today and stuck on this question.

Thank you sooo much!

I just filled in any 6 names…it doesn’t really impact your FA award according to me

@keya93 So, what if I wrote names of top colleges in my list and I am sending the form to the college which is little be lower than those top colleges? Won’t college feel bad or something like that?

And, I heard that the information on the form should be same to whichever colleges I am sending it to, is this true?

Pls, anyone else??

You list all the schools you’re applying to AND which require that you send then the CSS to be considered for financial aid.

The form will be sent to all the schools you list. If you’re only applying to 1 school, you’ll only list 1; if you’re applying to 4 schools AND they need your financial information to determine aid, then you’ll list 4. If you’re applying to 6…

Is this form going to only one college or university? Then you don’t need to list any others. In that case you can just leave it blank if you want to. Maybe you are only applying to one place. Maybe you don’t think your other choices are their business. Maybe, whoops, you just forgot to fill that line in.

If this form will be processed by an independent organization (as with the FAFSA and CSS Profile) then you must be certain to list all of the institutions that you need to have the analysis sent to.

For those students in the US filling out financial aid forms, all of the colleges listed on the form can see who else is getting a copy of that form, so it’s no secret to the financial aid office unless one fills out each form one at a time, which few if anyone does. So you are in the same boat as everyone who applies for aid.

Admissions does not take this info into account in their decisions from what we can see, at least not for US students.

@WayOutWestMom : Thank you for reply!

I just filled any six cos more than six universities require the form…

@happymomof1 : It is going to more than six universities as they all required them instead of CSS profile(Because I am in Ghana, so I cannot pay online for CSS profile)

@cptofthehouse : Then, what about International students?? Will admissions care about this info or does not take into account as they do for US students?

I had the same question…but then I realised that they would probably think you’re a strong applicant! :P

@keya93 lol :stuck_out_tongue: dat can be true. Haha you are exactly saying the same thing one of my friends told me. Haha hope they do think like that way rather than feeling bad.
