International Student - Financial Aid really "need blind"?

I’m not sure what’s so hard to understand. Your ability to pay has nothing to do with whether or not you’ll get admitted. Cornell can’t guarantee that they’ll meet 100% of your financial need if you are admitted. So, some people will get admitted and will get financial aid. Some people will get admitted and won’t get financial aid. But, whether you need financial aid has nothing to do with your chances of admission.

The strategy is simple. You should apply to Cornell. You should apply for financial aid. Applying for financial aid does not decrease your chances of admission. You may be admitted to Cornell but not given any financial aid. You may also be admitted to Cornell with financial aid.

^ And it looks like we have another Cornell graduate who didn’t learn anything in four years.

;-)

So is about 2150 SAT( 800 Math/620CR/730 Wr) enough to get financial aid? Or I have to raise it to 2200 or 2250. Because I will take SAT in November and it may not early enough

this website has the answer to your question

THE BOTTOM LINE:

If you cannot afford Cornell w/o FA, then there is ZERO point in not applying for it, as a strategy to boost your chance of admission.
