if ne1 knows about the "A" level system and how nyu deals with it....pls let me no! im really confused about how much colleges put emphasis on A level grades and whether the A level grades play any role in admissions decision...we dont have college couselors @my skool (i live abroad)....so im desperately in need of help!

Hiiiii.

I am mostly familiar with British A-Levels [not sure which you're taking] but I will try and help you.

A-Levels are important. They are basically considered in lieu of the HS GPA here in the States. So top grades in your A-Levels mixed with good SAT scores should put you in the running.

thanx alex....i am in fact talking abt british a levels....i wanted to no how much they value it....as in do they give it a lot more importance than regular high skool courses or are they considered equally? i hav good a level scores i ges...well i havnt finished but my a/s levels wer ok...accounting 300/300...maths 299/300 and business 245/300....kinda skeptical abt my sat scores...i dont expect anything over 1950 :(....btw....how r we supposed to calculate our gpa? thanx a lot in advance buddy....
