Hello I am a UK student, who will be taking my first SAT I, in may this year (2007) and i will take my 3 other sat II in june. At the moment i am thinking of definitely taking bio and french.

My most feasible sub choices are chemistry, and maths I and II. From the papers i have seen Maths seems to be the best option. However even though i have compared the UK's syllabus with the American one for the SAT Maths IC and IIC, I am not sure which one is best for me. Could someone who's done it tell me the difference? Also, people tell me that your choice in SAT II is meant to show variety and how in America taking bio, chem and maths is too similar is that true?

Could someone plz help me caus i need to order the study guides for the subj i am hoping to take and if i don't buy them around now they won't arrive in time.

Most people suggest taking the Math IIC because:
1. Better looked at for colleges
2. MUCH nicer curve

If you've taken precalculus, Math IIC should be pretty easy.

It's generally good if you take one SAT II in math, one in science, and the last in language/history. But make sure that you are extremely prepared for any subject test you choose to take (at least in 700s range).

In my opinion, Math2c is the easiest. You can score 800 even when you're wrong approximately 4 or 5 questions. Math Ic looks easier but there are a lot of "traps" in there.

Ooooh, my goodness, globalstudent, this is a forum for high school students, please do not sully it with your dirty thoughts; what does a nicer curve mean, sheesh!

Just kidding, jakor means that you can get more probs wrong yet still get a higher score.

Thanks for answering my question. I so thought someone was going to say this, but then I thought no one here would be so dirty minded. Obviously I was wrong-still won't make me re-edit any of my future posts though.
