<p>Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew anything about suitable housing for international students? I’ve searched through the housing (off-campus) page on the Cal Poly website, I was just wondering if anyone had any advice to give!</p>

<p>How come you don’t want to live on campus? </p>
<p>It will be a lot easier for you to make friends, and find future roommates. It is also a lot less troublesome for an international student to deal with a 9 months on campus lease vs paying a full 12 months off campus lease.</p>
<p>I thought only freshman (1st year?) can live on-campus. I’m an international student on exchange for my second year at university over here… I assumed I had to live off-campus?</p>
<p>There are apartment (flat) style living on campus for all students regardless of their academic year. In fact, the newest of the 2 complexes are designed for students who are not 1st years. </p>

<p>I checked the housing page on the Cal Poly website, and it only lists Cerra Vista as the only on campus housing. Has anyone experienced living there, who could tell me what it’s like? Thanks.</p>
<p>Merci Bien! I am “from” London. I missed Blighty, sort of, but not the weather. My family hasn’t lived there for a LONG time now, I live in California now. </p>
<p>How long will your stay in Cal Poly be? I think you’ll like it there, the area around the campus is brilliant!</p>

<p>Im also looking for housing as an international student. I will stay there for the spring quarter (and get back for the fall quarter). I got friends who lived at Poly Canyon Village and they liked it, BUT they seemed so very strict with for example alcohol and noise. They also felt that the housing area was to far away from the city. To me they recommended valencia apartments (where a lot of internationals lived and enjoyed their stay) but when I emailed them they said it wasnt possible to only rent for one quarter.</p>
