HI guys! I plan on applying to Stanford for the 2006 fall period. I have been living in the US for the past four years and am from India. I have a Indian passport and visa, etc. I live in san diego. When i apply to stanford what type of application do i use, the International one or the regular US citizen application. Please help.

Do you have either a US citizenship or a green card (permanent resident)? If not, I'm about 99% sure you'd be considered an international, despite your place of residence. Hopefully someone else can confirm.

No i don;t hold a greencard and thus am not a US permanent resident. But I have applied for one and god knows when I will get it. But still what application do i use.

Since you are not a citizen or permanent resident, you HAVE to apply as international. If you get your green card in time, call the admissions and change it (international admitions are more competitive and not need-blind).

That's fine but what application do i use. I don't think i should use the international application as it tells me to list down the type of educational system I have studided under, etc which makes no sense as i have had my high schooling in the US ever since 9th grade. I am still skeptical about this. Please help.

Call the admissions office and ask them.
