Hi there. I'm an incoming international freshman. I've got a mail from Residential Hall Linen and it looks like the their paks are pretty convenient for international students. But there are so many negative comments about the quality of their products on the internet. So I'm just wondering what international students usually do with their linens and other bedding stuff? Do you guys shop in LA or at your local place then ship them over? If shopping in LA, where can I get those stuff? or any other options?

I actually shop at Bed Bath & Beyond / Target for my dorm needs (but I’m from SoCal, so that probably won’t mean much to you, lol). Most most people from out of state, or internationally tend to buy their sheets when they get to UCLA (cuts down on the baggage).

I can’t think of places in the walkable area that have bedding, I’m sure there’s at least one (besides the UCLA store, I think)… I normally shop outside of Westwood for variety and price reasons. But anyways, if you ship it to yourself, just be wary of mailroom lines (and crappy hours).

If you can wait for awhile, UCLA normally does a “Target run” where they will drive you to Target, the night (or two nights) before school starts. (Again, looooong line caution.)
