International student needing help.

Hello everybody! First of all I’m sorry if this is in the wrong section if any mod wants to move it that’s fine.
I’m an Egyptian IGCSE student that was has 8 O levels and 2 As levels (the reason for the 8 O levels is being forced to take them by the Egyptian Regulations and only 2 As levels cause they only allow us 3 years for everything) and I’m really intrested in computer programming and networking and I’d consider myself what they call a computer nerd , so I was looking at options to study Computer science, the problem is that my budget is at most 15,000 usd/year, however looking through most universities I could find online they did not offer any financial aid for international applicants, I hoped to study in the U.S. so any suggestions for universities that offer financial aid for international students in the U.S. and specifically in San Francisco that I could apply for this fall or even next spring would be great, but any university worlwide that falls under my criteria and offers English CS degress should be just as good. Also I’d like to hear your thoughts if you have any other alternatives.
Thanks ^^

Do you have SAT (CR+M) and TOEFL scores? What are your IGCS results? Presidect AS results? Will you be taking A-Levels? (If not, it may be a good idea.)

I think you’re too late to apply with financial aid for next fall. Your best bet would be to try for fall 2017 and use the extra time to research schools, create a target list of places you want to apply to, add/expand on your ECs, prepare for the SATs and really work on your essays. By the way, since you will need extensive financial aid, you should apply to many schools in many different areas. Don’t focus on the San Francisco area. It’s an incredibly expensive place to live, and competition for financial aid is fierce (everyone wants to live there.) Increase your chances by targeting schools with fewer international applicants.

Hi, I’m an international student also
First, are you considered as an good athlete or a talented/ extremely competitive student (good GPA, SAT, outstanding ECs)? If you are, you can apply to private schools (especially small ones) and they will usually offer you scholarship. Otherwise, schools such as harvard, princeton, yale, and MIT offer need-blinded financial aid to all students (including international). However, don’t try this if you aren’t an outstanding student.
If you are not, it is very hard for you to gain a large amount of scholarship as there are too many international students competing for it. In most schools, financial aids are only available for American citizens, rarely to international students.
