International Student : Where To Vist?

Hi ,

Basically I've saved up enough money to book a holiday next year and I would really love to go to a college town or a town with the shortlisted college ive selected near by so I can check them out but it is a holiday so Id prefer somewhere with a beach and great nightlife. But I have no clue about US geography was wondering if some of you could help me.

Im interested in UMiami,SDSU/UOFA and Arizona State.

I'd be interested on your comments on these colleges aswell. Or other colleges recommendations (I'm interested in doing Law/Business Have good GCSEs and will get Good Alevels location is pretty important to me though I dont want to be stuck in a freezing campus thatas a ***** palace)

eh anyone?

i don't know about those colleges you've mentioned. First, you have to decide which part of US that you want to visit: west coast, east coast, midwest, south, etc. Pick one and go around a couple states there to visit the colleges.

For example: if you go to new york, there are plenty great colleges there with top business/economics programs: columbia, nyu, fordham, and you can even check out CUNY Baruch. Then you can also go sightseeing in NYC.

After NYC, you can go upstate to visit Cornell. You can also take a bus/drive to Boston to see Harvard, Boston Univ, Boston College, and other great LACs. Boston is also a typical urban city/college town. You can also take a bus to Connecticut and visit Yale, Wesleyan. Or you can go to New Jersey and visit Princeton.

These states are close to each other, so it is easy to go there. NYC has great night clubs all over the city.

Hm I was more thinking west coast California/Arizona or Florida.

The problem is cost's. just to get a flight is roughly $1'000 if I book now. so Im rather limited where I go
