International Student who got accepted to Stanford, MIT, etc..

The acceptance rate for international students at those top private schools are freaking small. Like 3-5%.

I guess I'll be considered an international student because I don't have a green card even though I've lived in the US for 8 years. So therefore I'm not a perminent resident

Is there anyone who got accepted to a top private school and who's also an international student? If so, then give me your stat please so that I have an idea of how good an essay I Must write. I'm a senior so I can't really change much on my resume except for my ACT and SATIIs.

my GPA is ~3.82 uw and I have a bunch of science and math commitments, along with numerous college courses and an internship. I'm also involved with a lot of sports. I'm not showing my stats because people would just bash at me and say that I wouldn't have a chance. Mind you but I'd rather have some confidence.

wait... you do understand that most privates have a smaller International acceptance rate because most of them are need aware right? Meaning.. its coz a lot of internationals ask for Financial Aid and schools cannot meet those demands. If you do not need aid, your chances are the same... some people may say otherwise but do not listen. i have contacted maybe fifteen top colleges like JHU, Emory and all of them say the same thing.

^Are you sure about that? I'm in the same boat as Ougnala (Lived in the US for 6 years and still waiting on that green card....)
