International student with low GPA

I'll make this short: I'm a swedish student looking at american colleges, and USC is one of my top considerations.

My GPA is at a less than excellent 3.55, which is quite a bit below the average of accepted students at the USC. In addition, sweden lacks the culture of ECs that you have in the states: the only activity of mine I could imagine matters is that I play an instrument in a band. However I suspect that they get this a lot from international students - I don't know anyone who has done charity work, clubs, or any of the things that are common on an american students resume.

Straight to the question: If at all possible, what kind of SAT scores would I have to hit to get into USC?

Up you go :>

pretty high, 2200 range.

Denti–not sure many here will know the answer to this. USC does like to admit international students to represent the world, so if your country does not send a lot of apps in, this might work to your advantage. Also, how do you rank in your class? Some schools have very low GPAs (grade deflated) and your ranking may help show the adcom the true picture.

In your essays, make sure to show your passion and deep interests and keep your fingers crossed.

Good luck!
