I am from India and I am applying for M.F.A next year. I have done my undergrad in English Literature and then my grad in Mass Communication. I have about two and a half years of work experience in Television production and Digital Planning.

I want to study further and do an M.F.A from U.S but I have a GPA of 2.8 from my last school. Most of the colleges seem to want a minimum GPA of 3.0. Will my work experience be able to compensate for the low GPA?

The colleges I am applying to:
USC
UCLA
Calarts
NYU
Chapman

The main reason behind my low GPA is I have Fibromyalgia and that hampered my studies a lot. I do not know if I should mention that in my application to these colleges. Also, any other suggestions for colleges would be much appreciated.
