I am an international student applying from Sweden. In Sweden, we do not have the standard GPA system. However, in Swedish grades I have literally straight A's. Do the admission offices have someone who understands my academic system, or is the fact that Sweden has a different system negative in my application?

Applying to Columbia, UPenn, Princeton and NYU

I am also an international student and when I spoke to admissions officers they explained to me that international applications are first read by somebody who is familiar with that particular education system, so you should be fine!

Yeah you’ll be fine, just ask your counselor to explain the system in his recommendation of you, I think in Commonapp there’s a question about it for him
