Personally, with SAT scores like those, I’m not sure if even the average schools will accept simply based on their preferences for in-state or domestic applicants (no offense, just speaking the truth). However, since you have been through challenges in your life, and if you illustrate this well in your essays, I believe you can “stand out” amongst a pool of applicants and somewhat catch the ad com’s eyes.

This is the ironic part my post…Since you need financial aid, which most colleges in the U.S. don’t offer for international applicants, the only schools that you can attend if accepted are really the most competitive, such as the Ivy League schools. Since Ivy Leagues are need-blind to all applicants and several of them place domestic as well as international applicants in the same pool, you will be on a fairer competitive field. So paradoxically, the best chances that you have at a school in the U.S. are ironically the most competitive ones in the U.S.

If you could provide some more info, such as your class rank, any awards you have won, extracurriculars, etc., I could give you a more accurate prediction.

As of now, simply based off of your financial need and your test scores:

Pace University: Reach
Allegheny College: Reach
Philadelphia University: Reach
Lasell College: Low Reach

Keep in mind that these predictions do not include the financial aid factor, but simply as if you were applying to them simply as an international applicant.

Best of luck in your future endeavours,
