International student???

Hi everyone.

I moved to America about 8 yrs ago, and I am currently a permanent resident (not a citizen yet)

I've tried looking this up, but I can't find the answer! Does anyone know if I would be considered an international applicant or not?

I’m pretty sure you would be a domestic applicant if you are a permanent resident, and you would be a resident of whatever state you’re a part of.

I have a friend that was in a similar situation, and I’m pretty sure that they applied domestically. Talk to you guidance councillor, though; I’m sure you could spin in either way you prefer.

Probably your best bet would be to apply as a domestic applicant with the added bonus of having experience abroad from your life eight years ago, which you can use as a hook :)

^This is according to Harvey Mudd College. I would assume that many schools have similar policies.

I keep wishing that you could ‘like’ comments CC :P

Thanks, everyone!!

And I totally agree with the last comment ;)
