Whatever you do DO NOT request East Halls.
If you’re not in Schreyer, review the dorms… there are Quiet and Substance-free dorms as well as LLC’s not in East Halls. Pick one of those.
@MYOS1634 Wat about west halls ??
Tht is close to engineering college
But does it have only freshmen ??
West halls is OK. Everything is OK except for east halls
What is the problem with east hall ??
Becoz majority freshmen will get thr only …
Anyways are u a freshmen ? @MYOS1634
What do u mean by LLC’s…
Did u mean East halls are quite and substance free ??
LLCs are Living Learning Communities, also called Special Living Options. The engineering house I think I mentioned on your other thread is one. http://housing.psu.edu/special-living-options
East is neither quiet nor substance free.
So I guess I will go with west…
Btw does west have only freshmen ?? @bodangles
It does not. East is the only area where only freshmen are allowed to live.
So in east students drink and do drugs??
Btw did u take east… @bodangles for ur freshmen??
I’d assume most people don’t, but there are certainly some people who act a little crazy being away from their parents for the first time. I just meant that while there are university-wide rules against drinking/weed/whatever on campus, people do it anyway, and East has no specific agreement to be substance free. The hall that does that is Beaver, in Pollock (http://housing.psu.edu/community-living-agreement).
I have only ever lived in South. (Honors housing – also probably somewhat substance free by virtue of nerdiness.)
@bodangles ur honor student great
I will see wat to do my parents want to wait till march 15…
And my exams are getting over at March 14 so i cant talk about anything to my pare nts
Don’t wait till march 15, deposit for housing ASAP since housing choices are first-come, first served, and the longer you wait the less likely you are to get your first choice.
East Halls is noisy, poorly isolated, with furniture screwed to the floor so you can’t arrange the room the way you want, and it’s far away from most classes.
If you can’t have West, put Pollock/Substance free as a second choice, it’s better than East Halls (quieter and more centrally located. Also, good dining hall.)
