I just would like to know whether there is any one outside USA/Canada applying to MIT this year.

Plus, I would be grateful if any one of you international students who made it to MIT can share some of your experience on how you did your application essays.

For my part, I am Taiwanese applying to MIT this year from the Netherlands. :)

Wow... that's quite a lot of people applying noting that Romania is a small country. :) Does that make it easier to get into MIT or not?
How many people are admitted to MIT from Romania each year? Is it easier to get into MIT from Romania?

But that doesn't reveal the number of international applicants by geography but simply the number of undergraduates composed of not only freshmen. :)

I am from Mongolia and studying in America and applying to MIT.
By the way I have a question. Do you guys know if MIT see international applicants in America differently than international students from other countries?

ulziibayar: In my opinion, yes. Of course since you come from Mongolia, you’re different from those who “come from” the US; similarly, since you study in the US, you’re different from those who study in other countries. Let’s say it this way: you’re a Mongolian student studying in the US, and that’s your particular case :D

I think they expect to see how far you’ve gone in your condition, how much you’ve struggled and whether you’re passionate or not, etc.

From Hong Kong
Holding Canadian nationality (which I am not going to use) and Hong Kong nationality (I am using this one to apply)
