I have been very tangled lately.
I came here--California,USA, in the second semester of my freshman year. My School transferred 5 credits of Chinese from china for the first semester of my freshman year. Right now, I am taking Chinese at Chinese school since 20 credits of foreign language are required for UC's. Today, I heard that the 5 credits of Chinese from China will totally ruin me because college will think I am an international student instead of a native student. I was struck with odd because my family and I immigrated here; we are residents of Cal right now.
I am wondering is there anyone in CC has the same experience as I do. I plan to have Chinese as my second language( I really don't want to learn a new language),yet, I am not sure whether that will work though.
My counselor said that if I take AP Chinese test, Chinese can be my second language( foreign language) automatically.
Thanks everyone.
