Hey, I have just been waitlisted from Duke, and am curious as to what my chances are for elsewhere. I need aid though, and Duke specifically states that they consider these applicants in a seperate pile entirely and only admit 20-25.

So, have any internationals here in the same position as me (needing aid) got any response? Anyone here know how competitvie this pool is? Relatedly, how does this bode considering that I will be hearing from HYP and Cornell on the 1st? Also, what are the chances that I get off the waitlist (as many of the top 20-25 get accepted to HYP etc?)

Basically my question is this; how good are those that have been accepted?

I’m in the same position as you are… Waitlisted/International seeking aid One question though: when you’re accepting your spot in the waitlist, how did you answer: I currently plan to attend ________.

I am not taking my place until I hear back from my Ivies on the 1st. If I get into anywhere there, I will not take it. Where else are you applying, just curious? Also, would not worry too much, I think that to get into Duke with aid is damn hard.

Got a merit scholarship at Brandeis so I don’t feel all that bad :D

Applied to Upenn, Cornell and JHU… My dream school is definitely Penn though. You?

harvard, yale princeton cornell. Will face a tough choice between HYP if I get accepted into more than 1.

Well done for the merit scholarship
