Hi guys. I’m a prospective student from Nepal considering to apply early at cornell’s college of arts and sciences. I’ve read other posts on college confidential and it’s ambiguous whether Cornell’s need-blind to internationals or not. I surfed through cornell’s website which says it is need-blind but does not specifically mention international students. I was wondering if anybody here could give me an apposite and reliable answer as being from a southasian and impoverished country my family cannot afford to pay full tuition fees. also, i do not require FULL financial aid cause my parents can at least afford 8k-12k annually.
My understand is that Cornell IS need-blind for internationals but does NOT guarantee to meet full demonstrated (need-based) aid.

Thus, it’s difficult to predict how much aid you may be granted if you are admitted. It may be enough to make it worthwhile or it may not. To me, this would make Cornell a financially risky choice for ED. You might ask the financial aid office if they could give you a projection.
thanks. do you think they’d be willing to provide an aid of 50-52k for someone with good stats, academic records and SAT scores?
I would think that an academically accomplished student from Nepal would be of interest to Cornell but I really have no idea how they calculate their aid awards. I would suggest you start a conversation with the financial aid office.
