Hello! I am an international student interested in MIT who is concerned about one thing. I was informed that most international students at MIT have gotten some kind of regional, national, or international recognition in diverse areas, such as the arts, athletics, programming, or science research. But as for me, I have moved around all my life, every couple of years, in fact, because my father is a diplomat. I have not had a chance to take full advantage of the resources around me primarily because I had not had the time or adequate opportunity to do so. Will a lack of any regional, national, or international recognitions as an international applicant hurt or even destroy my chances?

No.

Every applicant is evaluated in context. The fact that your family moved regularly is an important part of your context. That will not hurt you. However, if you do not have teachers that know you well enough to write a meaningful LoR, that might hurt you.
