International Studies/Russian?

<p>I'm looking for information on the International Studies and /or Russian program at USF for my son. He is finishing his AA this fall and is putting in transfer apps. He has narrowed it down to FSU, UF, and USF since they have the strongest Russian programs in Florida. He wants to major in something like international Affairs/Relations with a focus on Russian and Eastern Europe. He is studying Russian as his language of concentration.</p>

<p>We are in Tallahassee and are familiar with FSU, but don't really now how USF stacks up for this program. He is kind of interested in going to school in a larger city (as compared to Tallahassee or Gainesville). Anyone have any pros or cons?</p>

<p>And as an aside, what is housing like there? Hard to find? Convenient to campus? USF show a much larger off campus housing cost of attendance than FSU or UF (due to being in a city I assume).</p>

<p>@physicsfreak‌ - I can’t answer your questions about these schools directly, but one thing you might want to look at is that UF has FLAS scholarships available.
