International Supplement

im from canada and i JUST realized that i have to fill out the international supplement... one of the supplement requiers english teachers to fill out this form and its due jan 1. our school doesn start untill jan 2nd........................ >______________< NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

and if i dun apply for financial aid. why in the WORLD do they want me to fill out my finances in the internation suuplement?????//

thx ppl =)

No you don't

I'm Canadian also, you just have to fill out the Declaration of Finances, and change of schools one if you've changed schools

Concerning the International Supplement, the 1A would be useful to us if
you have changed schools more than once. Otherwise it is not needed.
Form 2F is not needed if English if your first language, or if you score
670 or over on the SAT critical reading test.

At Cornell, Canadians are eligible for financial aid on the same basis
(need) as U.S. citizens, and they complete the CSS Profile. Therefore you
don't need the aid application for international students. You need form
2R only after you know whether you have been accepted.

Copied from an email i got

you can send in that stuff a little later than the deadline.. and the financial statement is to prove that you can afford cornell's tuition

oh canadaeh has better info.. ignore my post, i think we posted at the same time so i didnt see his

Yeah i emailed them asking about it, cause I thought it was pretty redundant to have my english teachers comment when I've been in school here for like 11 years

it says on the form that only if englsh is NOT your first language, you need to do the form.

am I right in saying the financial declaration thingy only needs to be done after one is accepted?

you're exempt if you've been in an english speaking school for 5+ years and/or have a 670+ in CR

bob, do you know abt form 2F, financial declaration?

lol, i really don't see why Canadians would have to fill it out, since we are considered along with Americans for FinAid

anywher else, it's required, because they need to know for sure that you can pay if you're accepted, since admission isn't need blind for internationals
