International Supplement

Do canadian applicants have to submit an international supplement? I really need the answer to this, thx!

anyone?????

Yes, they do

Do I have 2 get it in b4 the Jan 7th deadline though? Or do they send it 2 u wen ur app has been processed?

The international supplement is a part of your application, so yes, it would be due whenever the application is due.

O okay thx SO much 4 that! HEY im a Vancouverite too!

That's cool. I got in ED. What school do you go to?

pg........ u?

don't canadians only need to fill in the 1st page of the international supplement?...

You're right to some degree, StudentConfidential.

All internationals (obviously including Canadians) need to fill out the first form.

The english proficiency form is only required for international students applying with an SAT CR score of 670 or less.

The finances report form is required. For ED people, the form was not required until we got accepted. I don't know how it works for the RD applicants.

uh..what if my CR score was exactly 670? (well, the 2nd time i got 700+). Do i still need to fill out the Eng proficiency? btw, my eng teacher wrote me a rec so i hope he covers for that.

any takers?

You're fine. It is exempt for those with 670 or higher

whew, good to know that! (wait, where did u find that? I searched lots of places and still didn't see that) The only form i submitted was the 1A in international supplement. I guess i can just wait now for my letter (hopefully a fatty).

I can't remember where I got it from. I think the exemption requirements are same as those for TOEFL.

I had a 680 CR and both the TOEFL and english proficiency requirement were waived.

wait, i found this:

Frequently Asked Questions About Admissions
Q: What are the conditions that have to be met in order to have the TOEFL waived?

A: To have the TOEFL waived, applicants must come from a country where English is the native language, or have scored 670 or above on either the verbal or critical reading section of the SAT.

but it doesn't say anything of the eng proficiency. but i guess that "implies" waived eng prof?

Yes, I believe so.

Yes, Canadians only have to submit the first couple pages . . . the information stuff

i think the english proficiency is waived if you've been at an english speaking high school for more than 5 years, or if you have a 670+ CR

Man, how many highschools are longer than 5 years? Most are like 4 or 3. If that's the case... we're screwed right?

lol whoops . . . i mean english speaking education system . . . haha

Fresh from international admissions: "If you have lived and studied in Canada for 9 years, you don't need to submit 2F." (the 9 years is my case) I'm sure if you're like what canadaeh said, if you've been in Canada for a fair number of years, I don't think you need submit 2F.
