international textbook editions

i'm highly tempted to buy an international version of an econ book i'll be needing this term. i don't think there's a difference content wise but nevertheless i wanted to know if anyone else has done this and whether or not there are any worrying details i should know about the contrasts between u.s and international editions.

thank you.

I have had no problems, except for one where it was an engineering text and the units were different, (all in S.I. instead of the mix of english and S.I.) but it said so on the cover. They tend to be thinner paper (tough to highlight), some have black and white pictures only, but a lot cheaper! I don't think you have to worry about content. (but do buy from a site that has a return policy)
