I am in my first year in India. I’m considering applying to a US college for Fall 2016 transfer admission.
I know that the chances are very bleak, but I want to try!
ICSE 10th - 90%.
ISC 12th - 75%. 
College first semester:
GPA - 3.73
Without English: 3.94 (Stating this because the max grade for English is A-, and very rare).
SAT - 2300+ (expected)
I finished at the top of my class for the first semester. I have an excellent essay & ECs, and expect excellent recommendations.
Is there any point in applying? I know I won’t know until I actually apply, and without applying I have no chance anyway; but there isn’t any point in wasting money in application fees if this is an impossible endeavour in the first place.
